Welcome to The Morpeth Group Riding For The Disabled

Update about the relocation of Morpeth RDA to Kirkley Hall.

Hi everyone,

Following a productive meeting between RDA Trustees and Northumberland College we’re hopeful that everything will be in place to allow us to restart RDA activities early in the Autumn term. We’re waiting for the legal agreement to be finalised and have been told that the upgrading work to some of the facilities will be starting soon. We appreciate that the situation has been less than ideal and are sorry for the interruption to lessons but everyone is working hard to ensure RDA activities can begin again as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

In the meantime, the ponies are well and have enjoyed their extended holiday and are being brought back into work so they’ll be ready when lessons restart.

The RDA National Championships take place next week and we’re looking forward to taking 9 of our riders down to Hartpury for this. Good luck to Mason Shield Graham, Freya Carr-Wright, Kaelin Fairgrieve, Lily May Henderson, Tom Leach, Liam Barnes, Jordan Hartley, Emily Jones and Imogen Foster, we hope you all have a great time. We’ll share pictures from the Championships and let you know how they all get on.

Best wishes

We can confirm that the horses moved to Kirkley Hall on Sunday 8th May. The move went well with all the horses travelling in style. Check out the pictures on the Gallery page.

We’ll arrange an open day at Kirkley Hall in due course so you can all come and see our new home. In the meantime if you have any queries please get in touch.

With very best wishes
